A self-taught design-driven developer currently working @Paytm. My dev-to-design transition started when I joined Paytm, its flat hierarchy enabled me to understand the business logic behind a product, how design enables and helps in getting things into reality.
For me, the design is not just about beautiful User Interfaces. It is actually a way to combine how users interact keeping in mind the business perspective. As a design thinker, I like to start with “Why” And I enjoy the problem-solving process while designing elegant, user-friendly products.
Working at Paytm opened me to the environment of Aglie management. Working with multiple cross-dependent teams, under multiple product managers really helped me grow as a professional. This collection of values is my guide to ensuring I’m constantly evolving as a designer, developer and a collaborator.
Making mistakes is an inevitable part of life. The sooner you make them, the sooner you can learn from them, and the sooner you can make sure you don’t make those mistakes again.
It's essential always to remain curious. Asking "why?" will allow you to dig deep into a problem and open doors to never considered areas.
It's important to collaborate, ideate, and get feedback from others often. The best solutions come from the inclusion of other peoples' perspectives, ideas, and expertise.
The problem-setting should be just as crucial as the problem-solving stage of a project. Ensuring the problem is properly defined will pave the way for successful products.
When tasked with something that may be out of your comfort zone, remember to embrace every single challenge that comes your way. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
Whether it be how you manage your time or set up your folder structure, always keep your work and life organized. Your future self will thank you in the long run.
On a very short stint at one of my previous organisation at AutoKartz, I with the team members and the founder himself was mentioned in a Yourstory article.
Outside of work you can find me traveling, clicking photos or hiking in the mountains. You can check my Instagram and Unsplash
